Juvelook® PDLLA Skin Booster in Ipoh
Juvelook® is an injectable skin booster that combines hyaluronic acid (HA) for hydration with PDLLA (poly-D,L-lactic acid) to stimulate your skin's own collagen over the following weeks and months. At PIFU Clinic, it is planned and injected by Dr. Sean Tan, an LCP-certified aesthetic physician, for patients who want better skin quality rather than a change in face shape.
What is Juvelook®
Juvelook® is made by VAIM in South Korea. It is described as a hybrid injectable: PDLLA microparticles plus non-cross-linked hyaluronic acid. It is injected into the skin (the dermis), not placed deeper to add volume.
- Hyaluronic acid: attracts water and gives early hydration and a smoother feel.
- PDLLA: a biodegradable polymer already used in aesthetic medicine. As it is gradually absorbed, it signals fibroblasts, the cells that make collagen, to produce more.

About JUVELOOK®
How does it work?
The HA works first and is absorbed over weeks. The PDLLA works more slowly, acting as a collagen stimulus while it breaks down in the skin. This is why improvement builds gradually: skin tends to look hydrated first, then firmer and more even over the following months as new collagen forms.
What can it help with?
- Skin texture and dullness
- Fine lines linked to collagen loss
- Enlarged-looking pores and rough texture
- Early loss of firmness and elasticity
- Selected atrophic (depressed) acne scars, depending on type and depth
Juvelook® improves skin quality. It is not a substitute for filler when you need lasting volume, or for HIFU or RF tightening where there is more significant sagging. After assessment we will tell you which approach, or combination, fits.
What to expect
- Consultation: your doctor checks skin thickness, laxity, scars and goals, and whether Juvelook® is suitable.
- Treatment: multiple tiny injections across the treatment area. Numbing cream is usually applied first.
- Right after: redness, small bumps, swelling or bruising are common and usually settle within days.
- Results: hydration and smoother skin may be noticed early. Firmness and texture improve progressively over weeks to months.
- Sessions: a short course is usually planned, with maintenance after. [Dr. Sean to confirm PIFU's standard number of sessions and interval before publishing.]
- Longevity: published sources give a wide range, from around 6 to 12 months to 1 to 2 years. It depends on age, skin condition, lifestyle and number of sessions.
Safety and who should not have it
Most side effects are mild and temporary: redness, swelling, bruising, tenderness. Less commonly, small lumps or nodules can occur. Careful technique, correct placement in the skin and appropriate dilution reduce this risk, which is why it should only be done by a trained doctor.
Juvelook® is not suitable if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have an active skin infection or inflammatory skin disease in the treatment area, have a tendency to keloid or thick scarring, have an autoimmune condition that your doctor considers a contraindication, or are allergic to hyaluronic acid or lidocaine. Tell your doctor about all medicines you take and any previous reaction to injectables.
Why choose PIFU Clinic for Juvelook® in Ipoh?
- Doctor-led: every injection is performed by an LCP-certified aesthetic physician.
- Assessment first: we explain what a skin booster can and cannot do, and suggest alternatives if another treatment suits you better.
- Genuine product: we use properly sourced product and will show you the packaging before treatment. [Add Malaysian MDA registration number for Juvelook® here once confirmed, in the same style as your device pages.]
- A plan, not a package: we build the course around your skin and what you want to change.
